Euro Tractors for Paper Transport in Continuous Feed Systems

Euro tractors are crucial components for efficient transport of continuous paper in printing machines. Especially for large print runs, whether on paper or label material, continuous feed systems offer significant advantages. The continuous paper features a guide edge with holes spaced half an inch apart, used for precise paper transport. Euro tractors are equipped with pin belts, with pins that fit perfectly into these holes and have a diameter of 3.8 mm.

The dimensions of continuous paper are based on inch measurements, with a sheet in Denmark typically being 12 inches (304.8 mm) long. In comparison, the commonly used DIN format in Denmark measures 297 mm in length. At least 8 pins engage simultaneously with the paper holes to ensure even traction and braking force.

Euro tractors are designed for a long service life and feature maintenance points that facilitate easy cleaning and lubrication. This significantly increases their longevity and durability. The tractors are compatible with all standard continuous printers and can easily replace older Moore tractors. They ensure precise and swift control of paper webs, even when they have perforations and die cuts. Functions such as start, stop, and direction reversal are handled effortlessly.

Euro Tractors – Paper Transport Tractors for Continuous Paper Webs Especially for large print volumes, printing on continuous paper is the ideal solution – whether using standard paper or label material. Continuous paper has guide hole margins on both sides. The holes in this margin are spaced exactly ½ inch apart and serve the purpose of paper transport. Euro tractors are equipped with pin belts featuring a ½ inch (12.7 mm) pitch and pin diameter of 3.8 mm. These pins fit precisely into the existing hole margins. In line with continuous paper transport technology, the paper sizes are based on inch measurements. In Germany, for example, one "sheet" is 12 inches (304.8 mm) long, whereas the standard DIN sheet format measures 297 mm. During paper transport, at least 8 pins are always engaged in the holes – ensuring even distribution of pulling and braking forces. Thanks to the integrated maintenance points, Euro tractors can be conveniently greased and cleaned. This extends both performance and service life significantly. Our Euro tractors are compatible with all common continuous printers and can easily replace older models such as Moore tractors. Even paper webs with punchings and perforations are guided precisely and reliably at high speed. Starting, stopping, and reversing the continuous paper web is handled without any issues.
